About Us
Kappa Delta Nu is a Muslim Interest Sorority with many aspects including social, spiritual, professional, service, and academics. We aim to create a sisterhood in an Islamic context and provide young women the opportunity to connect with female scholars and professionals.
Our Mission
We strive to unite humble and driven Muslim women in developing their Islamic lifestyle together while creating a strong sisterhood that lasts this lifetime and the next, and facilitating their path to success in academics and the professional setting. We aim to instill positive values and ideals derived from the Quran and Sunnah and the character of Prophet Muhammad SAW (Peace Be Upon Him).
Our Vision
The vision is the concept of sisterhood in Islam. As sisters in Islam, we hold compassion, humility, and trustworthiness as the major pillars of our organization. Being a sister in Kappa Delta Nu means conducting oneself with integrity, responsibility, and excellence. It means communicating effectively and appropriately and always striving to find a way to be productive and helpful. Respect applies to all human beings regardless of race, religion, national origin, and gender.
Our Purpose
As a sister in Kappa Delta Nu, the purpose is to emulate the Prophet (SAW)’s character and strive for continual self growth, high morals, and character development. It is to create a sisterhood that builds a support system on genuine trust, accountability, confidence, and privacy.
K Δ N sisters should help one another in implementing and improving our islamic lifestyle, such as educating ourselves on our duties in this world and in preparation for the afterlife. We must focus on the remembrance of Allah swt in our daily life.
We are a representation of strong Muslim women leaders in society and the work field. We will aid one another in our academics and professional field through networking, professional skill development, and career insights.
